CranioSacral Therapy Classes Starting Soon
Etienne Peirsman’s Cranio Sacral School of the Masters resumes in January 2018 at Blue Desert Hale in Tijeras, New Mexico. “CranioSacral Therapy (CST), an offshoot of osteopathy, is a method whereby the structure of the spinal column and skull are seen and felt to be moving from within, in accordance with a pulsing rhythm,” explains Peirsman. “Inside our skull and spinal column is the space where our brain and nervous system reside and do their work. As we all know, this nervous system is the bio-computer that regulates the workings of the whole body; furthermore, it is the seat of our social and highest intelligence. In order for the brain to help the body function optimally, it needs the maximum space possible to do its work.”
CranioSacral Therapy focuses on the body’s craniosacral system which is made up of the cerebrospinal fluid and fascial membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord and their connection with every structure in the body. Through gentle, noninvasive touch a practitioner releases craniosacral and fascial restrictions to improve the overall functioning of the central nervous system. “CST creates more space for the brain to function, allowing physical and emotional challenges to be dealt with and resolved more easily,” says Peirsman. “It is very effective for addressing a wide range of medical conditions and emotional difficulties.” Limit 12 students per class.
